Problems with my ebay and paypal account

I have been a big seller on ebay for a number of years now and have never had any real problems to be honest but count myself very lucky as i know people who have had absolute nightmares with buyers and sometimes sellers. I had my first real problem last week when i was buying an item off ebay, sale went through ok and paid as i normally would and thought nothing more of it. Problem started when the seller emailed me to say the payment had gone to a wrong address now i know what he meant and how it happened but it doesn’t make any less frustrating. So i signed into my account to try and cancel the payment, no where in my account could i find anywhere to do this though. Tried a search on paypal cancel payment but did not find much at first, i eventually found out you can only cancel certain types of payment. So now i had a payment in limbo somewhere and a seller telling me i need to pay again!. I find this to be a crazy situation as when i went through the paypal sign up process i gave all the correct details so don’t know why other people struggle. I had to ask my card company to recover this payment for me in the end as paypal offered no help what so ever when it was not my fault to begin with. I make sure now everytime i buy i contact the seller to make sure their address is correct before i send them any money. Has caused me a few problems but better than sending the money into limbo again.
