An Elite Golf Gift Guide

We probably all know a golfer, even if we don’t always know what to get them.  There are a number of items that a golfer would like to receive, but if you are not familiar with the game, you are not familiar with the variety available.  This is where this article comes in.  Let us help you get something special for that golfer on your gift list.

You need to keep in mind that there are various levels of golfers.  Some are the most basic of beginners, while others are “top of the heap” professionals.  Determining what type of golfer you have decided to purchase a golf gift for will help you narrow down the selection process.  How do you find out?  Ask them.  You don’t need to tell them that you are thinking of buying them something, but just ask them about their game.  Ask them how long they have been playing.  Have they won any tournaments?  What is their handicap.  With this information you are way ahead of the game.  Why is this?  Because if they are a beginner you can get them an item that they probably don’t have.  For example, a golf umbrella is nice to have if you happen to be caught in a rainstorm, but it is usually not the first thing a new golfer will buy.  If they are more accomplished then you have a bit more homework ahead of you.  You can always go ask around, but do you know what is often a great idea?  Something personalized.  How about some golf balls with their name on them?  Now that’s something that they can’t just buy “off the shelf”.
