Meetings as a Method of Teambuilding

Meetings and teambuilding can often lead to a more productive workplace. Utilizing these techniques  can lead to better communication, trust, and conflict resolution among employees. Locations across Scotland and the UK will allow you to accomplish this easily at little inconvenience to you. Don’t hesitate to use this for your next company wide event. You won’t be disappointed.

Upon entering your company’s event, you will start with an activity that helps to break the ice among employees. This is often accomplished using Inside the Puzzle Zone which features life size brain teasers in which your employees must work together in order to solve the puzzles. Anyone can participate which is beneficial for companies who employ those with disabilities or other physical limitations. Not only does it encourage teamwork and communication, it is fun and enjoyable for everyone involved. Once the conference or event has begun, take advantage of short breaks to engage in such activities as Blue Beat. This musical exercise breaks employees off into pairs which then use body percussion to break the ice. Once this is completed, each pair will learn to play musical instruments and dance, culminating in a performance by each team. Not only will your workers be energized, they will also be more relaxed and ready to get back to business.

During longer breaks, meetings and teambuilding can still occur. You may opt to take some employees for a meeting specifically tailored to their job function while others engage in a fun game such as Teamopoly. Teamopoly is a giant board game in which your employees are the movers as they work to develop a Caribbean portfolio. This game moves quickly and provides a much needed relief from sitting. Not only is time management and negotiation emphasized, but players must also think strategically and use initiative. These will be carried over into the workplace and you may just discover hidden talents of certain employees.

When the long workday is over, meetings and teambuilding don’t have to be. Look for evening entertainment such as a James Bond evening. Standard gaming tables are used for some activities and all participants are given chips for betting. The winner at the end of the night is the one who collected the most profit. If James Bond is more your company’s style, then opt for that package. It includes not only Spy School, but other exercises as well. Your employees will be sure to remember this event and the results will be impressive.
